Quiet Week of Beta Testing – Update on Digital Learning App Aug 21 2020 17 beta testers are squashing bugs if they can find any. There are some issues getting potential clients registered in the system. Most are a function of the customer’s device, not the system. We are tracking and recording their issues and will write directions to correct the problems. The system itself runs like a charm – at least so far. When we have completed and tested the changes, we will proceed with the launch. The Rotary Free Lesson project headed by Rotarians Wilf Wilkinson and Sharon McConnell has now surpassed 60,000 free lessons downloaded and is still running smoothly. On September first, the free portion will be replaced with a small cost to keep us from losing more money not made in book sales over the past 5 months. Announcement of the change has been sent to Dave Andrews, the 7070 Rotary District newsletter editor. It will also be sent to every person who has made a download. The New Orleans Charter school project will begin as soon as we have a well tested product. Arrangements are still in process with the schools and with Rotarian Brian Hall from Louisiana. Marketing and advertising are set to go on September 1.
